  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Diabetes
  • Some cancers
  • Pregnancy complications (premature labor, low birth weight babies, etc.)
  • High blood pressure
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Difficulty becoming pregnant

Also, medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and rheumatoid arthritis can be affected by oral cancer, gum disease, or infection. In order to offer you the best care and protection, Smile for Life Dental offers preventative oral exams, including oral DNA testing, which could save your life.

Doctors Partnering Together For Your Best Health

Everyone deserves a beautiful smile. Dr. Lodding and Smile for Life Dental hygienist Stephanie Lodding, RDH are dedicated to spreading the word of the mouth-body health link. They are both active participants in the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH). The AAOSH is a network of medical and dental health care leaders, working to change awareness of oral health and its connection to whole body health. By changing professional and public behavior, the important role of the oral-systemic link (how the mouth and body wellness are connected) will be more understood.

Dr. Lodding and Stephanie are proud to be deeply involved in the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. This partnership of physicians and dentists is genuinely committed to exploring the link between oral health and overall wellness, and aims to elevate the dental industry to a general health care profession. Dr. Lodding and Stephanie are honored to have worked side-by-side with dental and health care leaders, including Dr. Michael Roizen, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, and many more dedicated individuals. Stephanie also served as Meeting Chair for 2012 / 2013 sessions of AAOSH and is currently part of the organization’s advisory board.
